It is a pendant lamp made of metal and whose name is Vela. Its design is based on the article that bears its name, where the luminaire tries to replicate the magical light it produces. This product is made of a special metal mesh from MYO, which is the manufacturer of this lighting article, whose function is to let the light pass through it and thus create a pleasant atmosphere in the place where it is placed.
The part that is anchored to the ceiling, the ceiling rose, is flat, which makes it easier to create more uncluttered spaces. This version of the Vela ceiling lamp is suspended vertically, although there is also a model available in which it is hung horizontally, so that by combining several articles from the family, unique combinations can be created.
Another advantage it has is that it allows you to select the finish of both the rosette and the top part of the fixture between the colours white and gold, thus helping it to adapt to different spaces.
It also allows you to choose the light source, as there is a version in which it is included and another in which it must be purchased separately. The recommended light source is Osram GU4 MR11 927 36D. It will produce illumination with 3.2W of power consumption, 184lm of light output and 2700K colour temperature, so it will create very warm light.
These characteristics make Vela (vertical) an excellent luminaire for installation as a living room lamp or suspended over a bedside table in the bedroom. The height can be adjusted from a minimum of 55 cm up to 155 cm, with a diameter of 4 cm and a weight of 0.5 kg.
