WHAT ARE THE FORMS OF PAYMENT?

HOW DO I KNOW I HAVE PAID CORRECTLY?

When you have completed your order, you will receive an automated email confirming that the transaction has been completed. Some banks or systems such as PayPal often send additional messages, by email or by SMS. In the case of payment by bank transfer, the Customer Service department will send you a message to the email you have provided to confirm receipt of the payment. LightingSpain is an online store operated by people, and in all shipments we try to give the most personal treatment possible, so we will contact you from the moment you make your purchase.

CAN I FINANCE MY PURCHASE?

At LightingSpain we use the Paypal+Late financing method. With it, you can pay any amount, with no minimum or maximum, in up to twelve months. You have a guide to financing your purchase at this link.

CAN I BUY CASH ON DELIVERY?

Currently we do not offer cash on delivery. Please, take a look at the other payment methods we offer.

DO THE PRICES INCLUDE VAT?

In the case of private customers, all prices include VAT. For the professional client area, prices are shown without VAT, and this is added once you go to the shopping cart.

IS IT SAFE TO BUY FROM LIGHTING SPAIN?

All LightingSpain pages are under the protection of a SSL security certificate. In all cases, we work with expert entities in the treatment of financial data: in no case do we store your data, which remain encrypted during the whole process.

CAN I BUY BY PHONE?

CAN I ASK FOR AN INVOICE?

If you register as a client, you can download your invoices in your personal area. In all other cases, you have to ask for it after making the purchase. Remember to include your tax identification document.

MY ORDER



WHEN WILL MY ORDER ARRIVE?

Orders have a shipping time of 24/72 hours since the lamp is manufactured and depending on the country to which it has to be delivered. We will inform you about the approximate date of delivery after your purchase. Each model has a manufacturing time, which is indicated in the product sheet; we always try to shorten the time as much as possible.

HOW CAN I SEE THE FOLLOW-UP OF MY ORDER?

Once the package has left the manufacturer's warehouse, we send you a tracking number so that you can check online at any time where your order is located.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SHIP MY ORDER?

Each lamp has different dimensions and weight, so the shipping costs are applied once you have added the products to the shopping cart. Once indicated the country in the shopping cart the system will calculate the shipping costs there. Once arrive to a minimum purchase order, you order will be sent free of delivery costs.

CAN I RECEIVE MY ORDER WITHOUT SHIPPING COSTS?

Yes, depending on the quantity order, each country has a minimum purchase order amount, except from some items that exceed weight and volume.

ARE THERE DISCOUNTS FOR LARGE ORDERS?

There is no automatic discount on large volume purchases; if you are a professional buyer and want to buy at more competitive prices, request your registration for this service now.

WHICH DELIVERY COMPANY USES LIGHTING SPAIN TO SEND MY ORDER?

We currently ship with different companies, depending on the characteristics of each product and country of delivery.

CAN I PICK UP THE ORDER AT A PHYSICAL SITE?

You can pick up your order at the office of the transport company in charge of delivering your package. If this is the case, please indicate it in the comments of the order when you make your purchase.

CAN I ORDER FROM ABROAD?

LightingSpain sells all over Europe, you only have to enter the version of LightingSpain for outside Spain.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY ORDER HAS ARRIVED AT THE INDICATED DESTINATION?

By means of the tracking that we send you, you can follow the state of the shipment at every moment and know when and where it has been delivered.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ORDER ARRIVES WHEN I AM NOT AT HOME?

The transport company will call you on the telephone number you have given us and will agree on another delivery day.

CAN MY ORDER ARRIVE AT THE WEEKEND?

No, orders are not delivered on weekends.

MY ORDER HAS NOT ARRIVED. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If your order has not arrived, check the tracking system to know what state it is in. If it is taking longer than usual, contact us so that we can find out what has happened. At LightingSpain we monitor all shipments, and we look forward to your purchase every day.

HOW CAN I MODIFY MY ORDER?

Once an order is placed, it cannot be changed automatically. Please contact us to find out if your modification is possible.

HOW DO I CREATE MY ACCOUNT?

To create a LightingSpain account, simply click on the user icon at the top of the page.

In the case of private customers, registration as a user is automatic. In the case of professional clients, the registration must be validated by the LIGHTINGSPAIN team.

Fill in the required fields: we will need an e-mail to send you the notices of your orders and a phone number to contact you. Give us also an address; once you are registered as a user, you can add as many addresses as you want, and even indicate a billing address different from the delivery address. At the end of the registration process, you have to accept the privacy policy, and we give you the possibility to subscribe to our newsletters.

I FORGOT MY ACCOUNT PASSWORD

If you have forgotten your password, the Login page has a link to reset it. When you click on it, you will receive an email with instructions on how to change it.

I FORGOT MY USER OR EMAIL ADDRESS

It is not possible to reset or change the user or the email automatically. If you can't remember the user or email you registered with and want to access your account, you should contact us by phone so that we can verify your identity and resolve the problem.

HOW CAN I CHANGE OR DELETE MY ACCOUNT DETAILS?

Once you have logged in as a user, all the sections of your account (Information, addresses...) have an Edit button with which you can change or delete the data you have given us.

HOW DO I PERMANENTLY DELETE MY ACCOUNT?

For security reasons, the process of permanently deleting an account is not automatic. If you want to delete your account, please contact us.

IS MY DATA PROTECTED?

RETURN QUESTIONS



HOW CAN I RETURN AN ORDER?

To return an order, please contact us, indicating which order it is and the reasons for the return. If you created a user at the time of placing the order, you have a specific area called RETURNS where you can request the return, attaching images or other types of files.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN AN ORDER?

The deadline for requesting a return is 15 days from the date the order arrives at your home.

DOES IT HAVE COSTS TO RETURN AN ORDER?

LightingSpain will inform you about the costs of return and exchange of the orders, if you would like Lightingspain arrange it. You can also return it by your own means.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RETURN MY MONEY?

It depends on the bank, but it usually takes about 3-4 working days.

THE PRODUCT HAS ARRIVED BROKEN, DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE. WHAT DO I DO?

If your order has arrived with a defect, let us know as soon as possible so that we can send you a new lamp and collect the damaged one. To speed up the process, please send us pictures of the state of the product.

I HAVE RECEIVED A PRODUCT THAT I HAVE NOT ORDERED

If the product you have received is not the one you ordered, we will change it immediately. We will need all the information possible (order number, delivery number, images of the order...) so that the transport company can locate your order.



QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PRODUCTS



WHAT IS THE PRODUCT WARRANTY?

All the products sold in LightingSpain are designed in Spain and have the CE guarantee: they are tested according to European Union standards. In the event of a factory fault with the product, the response is quick and the after-sales service is carried out entirely from Spain.

HOW LONG DOES THE PRODUCT GUARANTEE LAST?

The guarantee of all products is two years. The guarantee applies as long as the product is used under the normal operating conditions determined by the manufacturers. Defects caused by negligence, knocks, accidents, improper use or manipulation, use of aggressive or cleaning products not recommended and unauthorized repairs, as well as normal wear and tear, are excluded from the guarantee.

IN WHICH CASE DOES THE WARRANTY NOT APPLY?

If the products are used improperly, or if they become unusable due to impacts or accidents. Natural or legal persons, public or private, who act directly or through another person on their behalf or following their instructions, for a purpose related to their commercial or business activity, trade or profession, shall not be considered consumers or users. In these cases, LIGHTINGSPAIN will grant a six-month guarantee to the Clients that do not have the condition of consumers and users.

DO THE LAMPS COME WITH THE BULBS INCLUDED?

In the description of each product, the manufacturer usually specifies whether or not the bulb is included. Go to the file of the product you are interested in and read the description; if it is not specified, you can ask us directly by contacting us.

DO THE LAMPS COME WITH AN INSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY MANUAL?

Lamps do not usually come with assembly instructions: these are appliances that have to be handled by an installer, and as a general rule, user hire an expert to do this. If you want details about the installation of your lamp, please contact us and we will send you all the information you need.

DO YOU PROVIDE PRODUCT ASSEMBLY?

We do not provide product assembly service, but we can indicate installers in your area, as well as companies that usually work with our brands to ensure proper assembly.

CAN I REQUEST A CATALOGUE AT HOME?

LightingSpain does not send out paper catalogues, but you can join our newsletter, in which we periodically publish our news and offers.



TECHNICAL INQUIRIES



WHAT IS THE COLOR TEMPERATURE?

The colour temperature is the colour of the light emitted by a bulb in 3 shades and is measured in degrees Kelvin.

On the one hand, we have warm light that is below 3200K. It serves perfectly to provide ambient light in the room and is assimilated to the light produced during sunrise. The warm light allows you to create more relaxing spaces and provides greater rest. It is normally used in living rooms, bedrooms or dining rooms.

On the other hand, when the temperature is around 4000K the light is considered neutral or natural, as it produces a feeling of freshness and cleanliness. It is light that allows us to be stimulated, and for that reason it is normally used where we start our daily routine such as the kitchen or the bathroom.

Finally, light above 5000K is converted into cold light and is often used in workplaces such as offices. This type of light helps to improve people's moods and enables better performance of employees. Cold light is optimal for studying or reading.

WHAT ARE LUMENS?

Lumens are used to measure the amount of light emitted by any light source. The more lumens a light bulb emits, the brighter the light source provides.

Previously, watts were used to make this type of calculation (the more watts, the brighter the light), but with the addition of LED lighting its use has been phased out, and now a 10W LED bulb sometimes gives less light than a 6W one.

In order to choose the right lumens for each room in the house, it is important to know that not all rooms have the same needs. It is important to know the activity that is going to be developed in each one of them, its form, height or color.

Generally, in the rooms, the most indicated is to provide about 300-400lm per square meter, in the corridor about 300lm/m and in a study room about 700-800lm.

WHAT IS THE IP OF A LAMP?

It is the degree of protection that a lamp has to different weather conditions. Not all the lamps are prepared to illuminate the areas outside our house, nor all of them can be installed in the bathroom because of the humidity that this area presents. For this, we use the standard model that indicates the degree of protection against water, humidity or dust. The IP protection is characterized by being composed of two figures:

- The first one informs us of the degree of protection against objects and the entry of dust.

- The second informs about the degree of protection against water.

The most common IPs are:

* IP20: protection against dust. All the decorative lamps used to illuminate the interior of the house have this degree of protection.

* IP44: very resistant to water. This type of lights are perfect for bathrooms or showers.

* IP54: protection to the dust and the water. These lamps are usually used in the terraces, porches or balconies.

* IP65: complete protection against the penetration of dust and water spray. It can be placed outside the house.

* IP67: directly resistant to dust and can be immersed for about 30 minutes.

* IP68: direct protection under water and dust. Ideal for swimming pools.

WHICH BULB SHOULD I USE FOR MY LAMP?

To know which bulb to buy, it is important to consider its socket. The bulb socket or thread is the part that is placed directly inside the lamp holder and connects it to the electrical circuit. There is a wide variety of sockets, however, there are universal sockets that are used in most lamps. In order to choose the right socket for our luminaire it is important to know the type of lamp and the manufacturer's recommendation. In Spain, the most common bases are:

* E27 - fat cap

* GU10 and GX53 - are often used in recessed spotlights because they are extra-flat bulbs

* E14 - thin bushing

Normally we will know which bulb to use, as the manufacturers always indicate the most suitable for each lamp if it does not have a built-in light source.

We will simply have to buy a bulb with the indicated socket.

At Lightingspain we recommend the use of LED for all types of bulbs and sockets because of their energy efficiency and lifetime.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT THE LED TECHNOLOGY OR LIGHT SOURCE IS INTEGRATED?

Many of the luminaires that can be purchased at Lightingspain have the light source integrated which means that we do not have to worry about buying additional bulbs. In addition, it is always LED lighting which ensures lower consumption and lowers the final price. Thanks to the more effective distribution of the LEDs, the illumination from the integrated light source provides more light and is also much more homogeneous.

If we are worried about how long it will be working, we can assure that these lamps will serve us for many years since their estimated duration is between 10,000 and 50,000 hours. It all depends on whether you have an external transformer that prolongs its life and allows you to change its light source the day it stops working.

WHAT IS THE CRI?

The CRI (Colour Rendering Index) is a measure used to know the capacity of an artificial light source to reproduce the colours of objects compared to a natural light source. In other words: it allows us to know if a certain lamp can reproduce colours in the same way as the source of natural light, the sun. We are between values ranging from 0 to 100, 100 being the perfect value.



QUESTIONS ABOUT CEILING FANS



WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DC SOURCE AC MOTORS AND FANS?

There are 2 types of motors that can be found in the available range of ceiling fans: AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current). The AC motors are connected to the power supply and the DC motors operate through a transformer that is included in the motor. This is a newer type of motor, which is being used more and more frequently.

The advantages of DC motors are as follows:

- The motor is lighter.

- Extremely quiet.

- Uses less energy (up to 70% less than a standard AC) .

- It usually has more speeds.

- The winter function is usually on the remote control.

The advantages of AC motors:

- There are many more models.

- It Is cheaper than a DC.

- Can be controlled by a wall mounted regulator, chain or remote control (the DC is only controlled by a knob) .

- They are energy efficient.

CAN I USE MY FAN ALL YEAR ROUND?

The fan is a product that is being used in more and more homes, thanks to its enormous efficiency in lighting and cooling the room. In addition, many of them have the inverse summer-winter function which means that they can be used all year round, on both hot and cold days. The inverse function allows the blades to turn in the opposite direction so that during the hottest periods they help to cool our home and in winter they move the hot air from the heating, distributing it evenly and thus contributing to greater energy savings.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF USING A CEILING FAN?

The ceiling fan is a product par excellence. Many people enjoy its benefits and cannot imagine replacing it with another product. The most notable advantages are:

- Ecological: the consumption of a ceiling fan is very low, much lower than in other ventilation systems. The average consumption is from 20 to 60W depending on the speed of the blades. In addition, it does not contain polluting products such as refrigerant gases.

- Healthy: using a ceiling fan is much healthier than any other ventilation system as it does not produce cold drafts that can cause colds, dry eyes or a dry throat. Thanks to all this, it can be used at night without harming us.

- Decorative: thanks to the great variety of models that exist nowadays in the market it is easy to find the one that better adapts to our environment. We can find them in an infinity of colors, modern, classic, wood or metal. Some of them even have reversible blades in 2 colours each to be exchanged from time to time.

- Versatile: the good news is that ceiling fans can be installed in all rooms of the house. There are even fans with additional protection that can be used outside, such as on terraces. In addition to their usefulness in cooling the room they can also be used to disperse odours or smoke in the kitchen or prevent moisture from stagnating in the bathroom.

- Silent: With the arrival of modern DC motors and the updating of AC motors the noise produced by ceiling fans is practically imperceptible, an advantage that allows them to be installed in bedrooms or baby rooms.

- Easy to install: Even though it may seem like a complicated task, installing a ceiling fan is a breeze. All we need to know is the recommended height and dimensions of the room so that the blades do not encounter any obstacles, their height and electrical connection.

- It keeps insects away: thanks to the air current caused by the ceiling fan, any annoying insects will avoid the areas where it is installed.

- Clean air: ceiling fans offer a pleasant breeze that prevents the accumulation of carbon dioxide offering healthier and cleaner air.

CAN I INSTALL MY FAN OUTDOORS?

There are many fans that are designed for outdoor use, such as terraces or porches. The only thing we have to take into account is that the fan has IP 44 protection for its correct operation.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT FAN?

In order to choose the most recommended ceiling fan for your room, first of all, it is necessary to know the dimensions of the room in which we plan to install it.

- For rooms of up to 25 m², it is recommended that the fan has a diameter of between 112 and 122 cm.

- In rooms of up to 40 m² it is recommended that the fan diameter be between 132 and 137 cm.

Another important point to consider when choosing a ceiling fan is that the distance between the product and the floor should not exceed 2.40 m because if it is greater, the air will not reach it properly and it will not ventilate well.

On the other hand, we need to know that the minimum distance between the ceiling and the top of the fan should be 30 cm and from the wall to the end of the blade should be more than 50 cm.

HOW DOES THE "FRESH AIR" EFFECT OCCUR?

Before answering this question, it is important to note that fans do not cool the air around us, they just move it. The "fresh air" is produced by displacing the humid air by dry air that allows our sweat to be absorbed when it evaporates. This effect causes us to feel cooler, accelerating the evaporation of perspiration from the body, thus lowering the temperature by up to 3 degrees. If we are in a 30ºC room, we will feel as if the temperature were 27ºC. The same effect allows us to dry our clothes when we hang them out to dry.

WHAT MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING DOES A FAN NEED?

The fan is part of the furniture and decoration of our house, therefore, occasionally it is necessary to clean it. Otherwise, the accumulation of dust and dirt on its blades can cause the remains of dirt to spread when it is in use. To clean it, a soft cloth is sufficient to avoid scratching the fan. It is not recommended to use water because it can damage the motor.

With regard to maintenance, it should be noted that it is not necessary to grease it as the motor has permanent lubrication bearings.

If we are not going to use it for a long period of time, it is advisable to disconnect the power supply to avoid an electrical overload.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE MOST SILENT FAN?

In summer, ceiling fans are a great option for cooling the room, even at night while we sleep, thanks to the ultra-quiet models that do not generate any noise, which means 100% pleasant rest.

There are some key aspects to consider when choosing a truly silent ceiling fan:

- DC motors: These newer DC motors are quieter than conventional fans with AC motors.

- Blade Speed: The lower the speed, the less vibration the blades produce, and therefore the less noise the fan makes.

Blade material: The most silent fans are those with blades made of natural wood or plastic. Metal blades produce more noise.
