Burkhard Dämmer

German-born designer Burkhard Dämmer has a background in cabinetmaking and an education in industrial design. In his opinion, the design concept means finding good answers to old and new problems. It is a special challenge to work with light and wood veneer which he has crafted into beautiful light fixtures for LZF.

In addition to the designs for LZF, Burkhard has also worked with numerous companies in the fields of lighting, accessories, kitchenware, bathrooms and furniture. A widely published and award-winning designer, his numerous prizes include the German Design Award (2017) and Chicago Good Design Award in 2015, for the Dandelion pendant lamp by LZF created in the same year.
